It looks like one piece is 2" long at $45.10. I would prefer if we could keep it that one 2" rather than get involved with cutting

Well would you believe they lost the confirming email. luckly I rang up on friday and paid the invoice. So 7-10 days is the word from cleared bank payment. not real happy.

But it seems to be all going the right way finally. I appreciate your patience.

I received a piece of 1/4' X 1/4" X 2" metal in the mail yesterday. No letter just the piece of metal. Its going to be very difficult to segregate it from my existing pieces of HSS. I have used a texta to name it but will have to be diligent to remark it when the texta name wares a little.
We will all have to report back to this spot with our "how it went" stories.
Thanks to Hughie for the trouble he went through to get them and post them
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

If you use a Dremel tool and have a pointed abrasive stone, you could put two dots on one or more sides.

It might take an impression from a hard punch ground almost to a point.

    Dip in paint.

I am also curious to hear "how it went".
So much timber, so little time.
