Default Teknatool TL 1000 8s looking for parts / info

    Hi everybody,

my name is Gorm, a wood turning beginner in Brisbane.

Got a 1984 Teknatool recently, dont know all that much about it yet.

Bearings would run HOT, even after 2 minutes of running,
hence got a friend to use his press and push out the spindle
so that the bearings can be replaced.

Now that spindle has a 1 inch / 14 TPI UNC thread, which is different from
the previous lathe I used (8 TPI) and for which I had some adapters made up
(polishing wheel, wire brush wheel, chuck etc)
If possible, I would like to continue using those adapters

Just a shot in the dark: are there spindles with different threads
    to be had somewhere ?

(I heard, that Teknatool built their machines in various versions,
do they all all have the 14 TPI spindle or are there different ones ?)

Does anybody have knowledge about the model history here ?

Also, the machine I got, is missing the outboard turning toolrest,
does anybody see a chance of finding one ?
Would generally be interested in any info re said machine,
got the manual for it, thanks to some members here in the forum.
    Would appreciate any info
or possibly a contact to ask the odd question,
    SMS 0415 775 184

    thanx

    Gorm

The teknatool I have has 1inch 10 thread
The outboard turning might be hard to come by. I have one but don't want to part with it.

Can't assist with spares but know of two Teknatool TL 1000 8s that may still be available for purchase. Located in Townsville however.

Gorm, it would be better if you pm Moby and remove your number, lessen the chances of scammers getting the number.
