    Yeah I was thinking the same, would get a lot of movement as it dried I reckon,

    He should have thats Kiwi turner Soren Berger using his own design hollowing tool. Soren Berger hollowing box tool shaft and tip only The wood has to be green to turn his lamp shades that thin. If you get a chance to see him turn its well worth your time.

    I don't think there will be much movement in that, no matter how wet it was when turned - the sides are so thin and there is no base to warp or check.
