I have not used one but have seen them on YouTube. The jig fits on the bed ways in place of the tail stock. Mount a 4 jaw chuck on the jig (facing the spindle) and mount the workpiece on the chuck. The is a cutter that fits in the spindle.
the idea is that the jig rotates the job past the cutter. As You turn the rear handle the job is totaled past the cutter and slowly mover forward creating the thread.
i have a vague idea Mike Peace might have done a video.

Have a look at the videos on the EZ threading jig . It is quite different but works in a similar fashion . The threader you have ,looks to have the same adjustments ie a sideways adjustment and the thread cut will be the same as the thread on the screw mechanism . You will need to get a suitable cutter which you mount in a jacobs chuck , or preferably a collet chuck . On your headstock . It looks to be a solidly made bit of equipment .

I have one but no longer use it. The jig takes the tailstock, with the tread facing the headstock. She silver hand wheel goes to the right. The turned box is left in the scroll chuck and threaded onto the nose of the jig. The hand wheel in the middle is used to move the project towards or away from the cutter. The cutter is a small four prong tool, fitted to a chuck in the headstock. The hand wheel on the right hand end is used to move the project forward, while the cutter is rotating, to cut the thread. There was a cutter supplied with the jig originally, without the cutter the jig is useless. The pitch of the cut thread is determined by the pitch of the thread on the jig. The diameter of the cut thread is controlled by winding the hand wheel in the middle of the jig.

    Hope all this makes sense.
