Timber id, please
You may recall the charity bowl/platter fest from earlier in 2009
I entered this (got one vote ... from mum)

Anyway I thought it might have been spotted gum - the blank and its mates were liberated from the nature strip opposite MILs. I based my conclusion on the bark which to me looked like spotty.
Someone commented that it wasn't spotted gum
anyone got any idea what it might be?
here are a couple of blanks from the same liberated nature strip bits of logs

There's a chance that it is spotty, but I'm not good at reading chainsaw marks, I'm only fluent in bench sawn and lucas milled
