The tools look like high quality carbon steel.

These were pretty much in demand even more so when the plant shut down in Belmont W.A. I came on the woodturning scene after the shutdown and these were as scarce as hens teeth.
I wanted one but none of the old buggers that had them would move on
They had a good rep in their time as being a good solid lathe of course technology has moved on but they're still a good lathe....how many lathes do you need in a shed
