    Default Travel mug

Hey guys, does anyone know where I can find plastic inserts I can use to turn a wooden travel mug. I saw a vid on YouTube the other night of a bloke in the states doing it. Thought it looked pretty cool.

    Thanks
    Rhys

Do you mean these ? They are SS not plastic.

Pretty sure other OZ based turning/craft supply places have them too.

You could also go to Big W. They have two packs of plastic travel mugs for not very much (I got some on special for about $3 the pair). The inner part separates out with minimal effort and you can then turn up a wooden sleave. Not quite as nice as the steel ones but having a handle is a bonus. I'm actually in the middle of turning one now.

    cheers

Thanks Dabbler, that's exactly what I'm after. That'll be perfect.

Though Woodys idea holds water too. Haha no pun intended.

    Thanks
