    Default Travel Mug Kit

My son gave me the Carbatec Travel Mug kit for Christmas, so taking advantage of the fact that the neighbour's large Marri tree had fallen taking out a couple of sheoaks one which was dead, I found a suitable piece.

I did my usual and checked YouTube for some hints to make sure I didn't stuff it up first go. One of the the videos I watched started by showing the kit at Rocklers and then a cheap mug from a discount store being dismantled to show the insides were exactly the same as the kit. (YouTube)
I found this information very interesting as it saves you about 2/3rds the cost.
I was at Kmart yesterday and found a mug and bought it. (https://www.kmart.com.au/product/450...sorted/1426311)
When I got home I dismantled it (one screw on the base) and it was true. A $7 Kmart mug was exactly the same as the $21 kit from Carbatec. I know where I will be getting my travel mug parts from now on

I thought that was a good price and wondered what the cost would be delivered, so I entered some details and went to checkout. Kmart still looks to be a winner

In your case, yes, using one from Kmart is the best solution as postage is the killer. I posted mainly to let others in Victoria know the big difference in price between them.

If I ever get back to Melbourne I will be sure to visit Pop's Shed, we could use a shop like that over here

P Square Agencies are over your way and sell it for less than $7 and also a smaller coffee mug for less than $6 .

    Sorry Gents
Bit late with my input, but yes, Rod Cocks at P-Square and also Craft Imports is great to deal with. He is online, but you can also drop in and see him at Wandi, ring first. He also stocks heaps of stuff for wood turners. He has been looking after me for more than 10 years I reckon
    Sincerely
