These guys all turned up just after 10:00 though the demo was not meant to be till 16:00. started early and this lot stayed mostly till about 15:30. You see the centre you sent being put to good use. As a production turner has 'no time' for holding bits on while he winds the tailstock in. Below he was giving a demo on beads and coves, the combination there of and the use of fillets. He said that all turning can be broken up into 3 cuts,

"in fact" he said, "all turning is straight lines that just has some humps and bumps"

It was a very informative demo and I had the privilege of getting a condensed version in the arvo as well as the morning / lunch version. went through the process of shape and design and then how to copy

Above you see now the sample leg screwed in the holder as a visual aid for copying. Sammy came to like . At first she was calling him 'Rocho'
