In a pinch I've had to run to a hardware store and buy a cheap respirator for a job because I left mine at home... Not that that one is cheap but is has a similar strap setup found in the cheap ones that I find makes them not work well.

Masks need the plastic head strap in the pic I attached, otherwise when that single elastic strap slips down your head, which they all do because your hair is slick, they pull the mask down the face. Which rides hard on the nose causing pressure points and makes breathing out your nose hard or impossible.

Hughie, yes I use one, very comfortable mask, easy on and off, does not interfere with my glasses which is an absolute bonus. Sound a bit like Darty Vader as the valves open and close but you soon get used to it.
