How to hollowout the cyclinder without lathe?
i am a beginner in wood turning.i have made a truck made of depron but i need wheels to move the truck.so i need to hollow out the cyclinder to a particular depth.But the problem is i dont have lathe here.please guide this beginner how to do hollowing with hand instead of powered tools?

not exactly sure what you have in mind as far as hollowing into the cylinder, but am thinking that you need to have the wheels extend into the body from underneath..
Best way to do that would be to use carving gouges to make the slot.

sir i searched in google for bow lathe and i saw a video also in youtube.com but i cant understand how to make it and how can i hollowout the material using bow lathe?please give step by step instructions sir...

I've used drill bits to hollow cylinders. Just this afternoon I used a 25 mm spade bit to crudely hollow out a vase I made on the lathe (no picture sorry). Drill bits can be used on hand (non-powered) drills. Hope this helps.
