Looks fantastic .The responsability on each collaborator must be mounting as the piece progresses .

I was right and wrong, collaborative boundaries broadening check, i'm now changing my opinion to STUNNING as opposed to "not ugly". Really well done. Can't wait to see it finished.

Default An Idea for this Creation

I am speechless. The work in this vessel is amazing. True, the eye of the beholder rules, but the hours of effort it must take! Why raffle it in just a club? May I suggest that such effort could be offered to the forum (and others) for a worthy cause.

I would suggest a raffle for QLD Police Legacy in recognition of those who risk it all daily for us. The young senior constable in the gold coast who was shot the other day is very much in my mind as a police "dad" at the moment.

If you take up my idea I will buy $50 worth of tickets.
Welcome to Queensland Police Legacy | www.policelegacyqld.org.au refers for detail. Lots of kids could benefit from this exceptional effort by woodies.

Apologies if this is out of line at all.

Amazing, not quite my cup of tea. But it will look outstanding when its done.

Good suggestion, but another worthy cause has been allocated and tickets printed.

The raffle will be run prior to and during the Redcliffe Show (ist to 3rd july) and will be drawn on the Sunday. Tickets will be available from the Woodcraft Pavilion where the Redcliffe and District Woodcraft Society will be demonstrating woodcraft and exhibiting their annual competition entries.come along and make a peoples choice vote on any of the 14 categories.and buy a ticket in the raffle

It's amazing what the sub-conscience (and Goggle) turns up, can't say that I have seen images of the "tree of life" before, but I can see the similarity, the inspiration came from a pottery ball and the bush, I thought anyway

    Talking It's finished

Well the vessel is now finished and ready to go on display at the Redcliffe Show as first prize in a raffle. When it came back to me I had planned to add some pyro embellishment and a very light white wash but decided that it would be a bit of an overkill so just added some extra light carving under the alternate features and then passed it on for finishing....critique welcome. Cheers Kerry
