Using Shellawax.
Thought this would help some.
I did this for our American friends that were having problems.

That's excellent . I know Shellawax has received bad reviews from some (including me) but it can all be put down to not knowing how to apply it properly. Hope this goes some way to educating people but I'm still going to use nitrocellulose lacquer.

Good stuff.
Worth renaming it Shellawax Cream so as to avoid initial confusion with the liquid Shellawaxes?Cheers, Ern

Thanks ,
I knew some of that, but not all, so it was great to read it, especially some of the background info!

I've been using the EEE Ultra Shine for a few years on many different turnings.
When I bought it they gave me a printed instruction sheet.
We have a Rockler woodworking store that carries the line locally.
Its great stuff.
Thanks .

Thanks for the informative info and the links in the PDF, now I'll be able to source the 'right' stuff for finishing my next rocking horse!
I'm still trying to convince my husband to let me buy a lathe - and after reading this and quite a few other posts he's definitely going to lose the battle.
