    Default Two Vases

Hi all, just trying out an idea, it's probably been done before, but I had to give it a go. It measures 7 1/2" x 2" and it's made of redgum. Cheers Harry

    I like that a lot

Wonder how it would look as a layered laminated blank in contrasting colours? In my head I can see two contrasting waves moving against each other
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Done before -yep, on little Christmas trees, never anything like this.

The double curves through the piece grabbed my eyes and would not let go.

It it a case of cut and adjust or have you done any maths behind it to see where you are going please?

Hi Dr4gOnfly, No maths involved but I did draw it up on graph paper. The gap was the width of the parting tool and I also grinded a second parting tool at an angle to follow the shape. I started in the middle using calipers to follow the drawing but that got too boring and slow, so I just used my eye to follow the general shape, cheers Harry
