    Well Skew did a pretty good job of pulling the goblet blank out of the chuck on the day ;-} Shoulda been there.

    Can't hope to copy him.

    More pictures of the Hollowing chisel,it is very difficult to show how this actually works by the pictures ,so I will take it to the next
    Turn Fest and everone can see how it works by hands on

    The bottom edge of pic 2 & 4 is the hollowing point
    pic 3 the left hand bottom point is the hollowing point
    and bottom edge of pic 1 is the scraper edge

    So it is really just a round bottomed scraper with an anti-dig device above the working edge.

    Yes ,very easy to use
    I was at a wood show can't think which one ,Eildon Woodworkers were demonstrating and they handed this chisel to someone that was walking by and said have ago at hollowing this piece of timber that was set up in the lathe
    confendent that it would not dig in.
