    Default Vicmarc VM100 chuck

    Hiya Guys,

Hope I'm doing this right, as its my first time on here?

I'm trying to dismantle my Vicmarc VM100 chuck for servicing. Cant figure out how to get the 2 pins out which hold the 2 pinions in place. I've seen a youtube video, which shows them being removed with an allen key, but there are no allen key sockets on the tops of my pins? I've tried gently tapping the body of the chuck to see if they simply drop out, but no success.

    Any ideas please

    Regards- Reebs

    Hiya,

Thanks for the link to the youtube video, but that's the one I've seen, which shows removal of pins using an allen key.

    Regards - reebs

Haven't pulled apart a VM100 for a while. Is it the same as this version on the VM120 where the backing plate holds the pins in place?

On the Vicmarc facebook page there is a video down the page that shows how to rebuild a chuck https://www.facebook.com/vicmarcmachinery?fref=ts
