    Default Watch the birdy

Not all turning is arty or serious woodturning sometimes it is making something just for the fun of it.
This bird cocktail stick holder is made from Ash and American Black Walnut. Finished with cellulose sander sealer and Melamine lacquer, it stands 4 1/2" tall. This now has been nabbed by the wife as part of a Christmas present, well that did not last long and before the finish had even dried.

    Looks great Derek.

You won't need to go Christmas shopping - just make all the presents in your workshop

    Regards

Thank you everyone, My wife, has now come up with the idea of other cocktail stick holders in the shape of animals, so I have been drawing up some ideas that can be turned.

Most years I make something or other as presents not just turned items it keeps me busy and at the same time something that is handcrafted rather than mass-produced items for presents.
