Box with a bit of Pewter
This is a piece of brown ash with a finial of hormbeam with a couple of inserts of pewter, the brown ash i used was a small branch i had picked up some years back walking the dogs, the thing about making boxes is that you can pick up wood from anywhere, never over look a small branch, i get to make small tool handles from a lot of branch wood.
size is 16.5cm x 6.5cm approx. LB

Yer right about the small branches...
Nice box, LB; good job matching the grain, too. And the finial looks right on!Al

Thats where it went one minute it was there next couldn't find it.
Like it LB The grain in the main and lid looks as though its going to spring open any minute from being twisted looks impressive.
