I,ve got a Woodfast 280 L Lath (with belt changing plate on front left). I urgently need a drive belt for it, and just cannot find one in SA. Do any of you know the part number and where I can order it from? Price?

    Please, I'm lost without it!!!

Please mail me at [email protected]

    Thanks

Note that it is South Africa not South Australia..

Rhybo, you may be able to contact Woodfast direct. Woodfast Machinery Co. (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. -

These belts work much better than they look and you can assemble them to any size.

    Yes Rhyno, what said.
Best you contact Woodfast direct. I know there are two different models of the same lathe and they will ask if the headstock access to the belt is on the front or the back.

Rhyno, I needed a belt for my 280L as well, and called Woodfast directly. They were happy to help.

Greg, the belt on the Woodfast is not a normal V belt. They have 'ribs' along the inside of them to match the pulleys. Do these belts work in these instances?

I am not sure about that. But i had a v-belt on a walk behind slasher .. and replaced it with one of these .. at first dubious ... but they work really well.
