Faceplate screws
Do any of you old blokes remember about 15 yrs ago someone was selling woodscrews with 4mm socket heads, They are the best faceplate screws I've used and lasted, well, 15yrs.
Ebay and Google seem unable to help but I need a few more screws and a 100mm driver bit. Anyone seen them around? Cheers. Phil.

Phil, do you really want wood screws? I don't often use faceplates, but when I do I use these guys,
Buildex Type 17 Timber Cladding Screwsq2 - Buildex
Don't buy that Zenith rubbish, these are quality.

I use the cladding screws as well. Having the hex heads makes them easy to use and can be reused almost for ever. Never had a failure with them. I guess being designed to hold a roof on in high winds ensures they take a good grip.

John

Hi,
The specific screws you might have had originally could be: Screw It screws. If you found them at a Show - almost certainly them.
Woodturners pack
Brilliant things, very strong for their size.
Cheers,
Guy
