Woodturning Wiki?
There is an insurmountable amount of information on Woodturning out there however what I feel is lacking is a centralised repository for all this information. I really would like to turn to one place when I'd like to know something. This doesn't replace raw experience, as such, however imagine the power of thousands of 'raw experiences?' Which is why I like the idea of a Wiki. For the uninitiated, a Wiki (via Wikipedia) is defined as such:
A wiki is a website which allows its users to add, modify, or delete its content via a web browser usually using a simplified mark up language or a rich text editor. Wikis are powered by wiki software Most are created collaboratively. Wikis serve many different purposes, such as knowledge management and note taking. Wikis can be community websites and intranets, for example. Some permit control over different functions (levels of access). For example, editing rights may permit changing, adding or removing material. Others may permit access without enforcing access control. Other rules may also be imposed for organizing content.

We do actually have a WoodworkersWiki (WoodiesWiki) as an integrated part of the forum which was pretty poorly supported by members. It fell over some time ago and isn't compatible with this version of vBulletin but we are working on bringing it back bigger and better, possibly as a separate site if we can't get it to integrate with the forums.
May take some time, but it will definitely be back.
