    Default Yew crotch vase

The branch this came from was full of radial splits from the pith. Fortunately, this bit, where the two branches separate was reasonably free, just a couple of dips here and there.

Had to use the hollowing rig in the end as the hand tool kept being grabbed by the voids. It was supposed to be a rest from the screaming airtool that I use most days but it had its moments of stress.

Comments and critique welcome as always.

Yew, the king of European Softwoods.

I like this, should have finished it a week ago though, looks to me like a ghost and Halloween has past!

Now you mention it, I see that now as well. Hadn't seen the likeness before

Still it came out just fine.

Looks good to me Gus. There would have been some "challenging" moments.
