Try Matt at Design Style cabinets 0417 964 248, we were more than happy with his service and price. I know he is pretty flat out like most in the west at the moment but a great guy and first class work.

I'll have to call him up in the future too, need some new laundry cupboards... and god forbid, a display case for my rocks. (not those rocks, real ones)

In all honesty cabinet shops (there are exceptions...) don't charge like wounded bulls. They're all too busy trying to under cut each other to death that their margins are usually very small to non existent. It sounds like cheap is all you're interested in so I think you're gonna have to get dirty and buy a flat pack and assemble it yourself.

If my new jarrah table is anything to go by, cheap isn't close to what I'm after. Its close to 200kg, not light on the wood... I'd like to think I'll collect, or have made, some furniture that;

a) doesn't disintegrate each time you move house
b) looks damn nice no matter where it is
c)gives the kids' kids' kids' something worth hanging onto in the future.

My distant ancestors used to work with wood - there's supposedly a cabinet in the background of a Queen Elizabeth I portrait that was made by one of mine (my family's only claim to fame lol), have always loved wood myself.

Hi Burnsy - yes it is (on fine days anyway). You'll hear me coming too. Not quite as loud as a Harley, but not too far off! I wrote the "Driving Impressions" article on the birkin.com.au website about my first test drive. Great fun, every time. Gives most cars a run for their money at Barbagallo's, and then you drive it home. Brilliant.
