Bushrocks
Hey we have got a block with 1000s of tons of bushrocks covered in moss, lichen , staghorns,etc Is there a market out there for them?Thought of putting 4or 5 , 500kg-1000kg rocks in my car trailer and taking them to a local market or up the Goldcoast ,see if I can sell a few ..

Where I live there was a guy who owned a property with tonnes and tonnes of Granite moss covered rock and he made a fortune out of it and he used to make three trips a week for about 15 years carting it 500klm to Sydney in a six tonne truck. When he ran out of it on his property he started to get it from other properties. He made enough to retire on.
He was selling it to nurseries so if you retailed it it would probably be worth more. Just watch out for the Greenies.

You could try flogging them on eBay. The larger ones would probably be the go and you may need to consider offering a delivery service as well. I will need some shortly but I am a tad far from you.

Basalt/honeycomb rocks are usually around $90-$110/m depending on supplier, and granite ones $145 and up. This is from the garden yard
If you could get access to a truck to cart them, and a backhoe or excavator to rip them out, you would a lot better,but the outlay would be great.

There is definitely a market for them. Get in touch with local builders or landscapers and let them know that they can source rocks from your property. Most likley they will bring a truck and maybe a bobcat/excavator for the big ones. In my area most builders have a source like you for their rocks for retaining walls, landscaping, gabion walls, dry-stone walls etc. Payment may vary from a case of beer to cash per truck/trailer load.

Be a nice little earner if you had a large tandem trailer with a small crane so you can deliver to the customer exactly where they want it.
Years ago I bought a heap of used railway sleepers from a bloke west of canberra. He arrived about 5am and was fairly throwing them off the track and was like a druggie, "gimme the cash man" and took off. Watched the news to see if the syd/melb train crashed that day for lack of sleepers
