Jarrah Pickets in coastal location
Hi All - I am a longtime viewer and first time poster on the forum so hope I makes sense with this post! I am building a picket fence (again!) as I had to take the last one down to allow the front wall to be rendered, and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with treatments for jarrah pickets, posts and rails in severe coastal conditions (we live about 200m for the ocean). I have had a look at a few products and Intergrain seems ok - one coat of dimension 4 pretreatment and two coats of UVC transparent timber finish. I realise that I am setting myself up for ongoing maintenance but the pickets before were painted with weather rated paint before and they still needed a fair bit of maintenance as well.
Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated and thanks to all posters for the numerous helpful tips on the forum!
