    Default Redgum sleeper benches

    Hi
Looking at putting some very simple bench seating in the back yard. Was thinking of using 200 x 50 redgum planks (from Bunny's) sitting on top of 200 x 75 treated pine "Legs" which will be cemented into the ground.
Just wondering whether it will be prone to warp, if so any suggestions to minimise it. Also how far apart should the legs be spaced.
    Cheers

RG Sleepers are very prone to split & warp.
Don't think you canm stop it.
Store a few sleepers undercover for a couple of years to let it season and discard those that degrade.

Better to buy old secondhand redgum & use that instead of sleepers
