2nd hand shed & structural certification?
just looking into 2nd hand shed/garage/workshop options versus new
probably around 60m2
council permission is required and they ask for "structural details as necessary, certified by a Practising Structural Engineer".
anyone had any experience with this and how one goes about it?
presumably the engineer (if I could find one) would need to inspect said shed before assembly?
my gut feel is it might work out a bit expensive and I might even end up with a shed that can't be erected, legally.
last time I used an engineer it cost $250 for less than 1 hour verbal consult with nothing in writing.
