Help, I've Buggered Up The Roof !
Hi. I'm building a kit shed from Stratco, 6m x 9m.
My roof wasn't square. 50mm difference between the diagonals.
I just went with it and started 22mm in on the wall girt at one end thinking I'd maybe have 25mm short again at the other end.
It didn't work out like that. I'm short maybe 60mm or something. The roof sheet doesn't even reach the raking flashing. I'll put a couple of pics so's you can see.
One pic up at roof level showing clearly the shortfall. One pic from the ground showing how much of the sky shows through. Pretty useless pic really, I guess.
The bargecap might cover it I guess - but it wouldn't cover it and sit properly so's I could screw it down or rivet it or whatever where it is supposed to be.
I'd like to ask the pro's how to go about fixing a screw up like this, if perhaps they can remember such mistakes maybe from their apprenticeship days, I'm quite sure they wouldn't be making them now.
I'm inclined to think I'm going to have to get a sheet of roofing, maybe three crests wide, and cut it on the required angle and screw it on.
regards,
