I'm bungling my way through roofing a bit of a shed and I find my clumsiness and the fragility of the corrugated sheeting are not compatible.

So I'm thinking of making up a ladder to run from ridge to gutter and take my weight while I'm up there putting in the screws.

I know it'll be useless when I get to the ridge cap but we'll worry about that when we get there. First things first. Get the sheets on and screwed down.

So I'm thinking of using RHS 25 x 38, what they call fence rail here. Bolt the steps on.

Anyone got any better ideas or see any great faults in that idea?

regards,

ab

p.s. 'roof crawling ladder' - my terminology, for want of a better name, better knowledge.
