Hi Folks
Just came over from the WWF. Just took me a year and a half to read most of the threads over there. Now there's more reading.

I need some advice on a shed if I can borrow your ears for a bit.

Some background first......

Planning on O/B a house and shed on a 100 acre farm, all off grid. ( NSW )
Shed purpose....I am a toolmaker/ metalworker and I have collected a vast array of metalworking machinery, and recently started on a collection of woodworking machinery.
Been researching a shed for the last six months and nearly had it over the line.
Shed was by fair dinkum.
Shed....... 10x22mt with an additional 10x6mt garaport and a full 6x28mt lean-to. Eave height 5mt. All on a 150mm slab
The stumbling block was that I wish to put a 10KW solar system on the roof of the shed.
This consisted of 40 solar panels which would weigh in at approx 800kg plus brackets. So we may as well say 1T
The solar on the shed was a recent change and has now thrown a spanner in the works, as we were nearly ready to go to council with the whole box and dice.

Options at this stage would be a pre-fab concrete or a engineered steel shed (prefered).
Does anyone have any thoughts on a new direction. I don't have a lot of time to waste going down the wrong path.
So if any of the shed guru's would care to point me in the right direction, I'll be forever in your dept.
Budget was approx 100K
Do you think I could build an engineered shed for the price?

If I have missed anything please sing out.

Cheers
