Hi guys I've recently bought a house with a big backyard..

I'm doing some conceptual research into a big shed/garage/man cave.

Yard width 20m (18m with set back distance off both fences) so looking max at ~7m*18m
want a hoist (so height = 4m min)
Already have 5 cars and 2 trailers (so looking around 5-6 bay)

because of the min height requirement I was thinking:
going a bit higher (~5m) and adding a mezz in the other bays (where the hoist won't be) or adding a second level to be the Man cave, with the roof coming on an angle to the second level (the second level allows for a patio/verandah and therefore more covered workspace)

material:
I was thinking besser block instead of colourbond because of thermal/noise properties, better security, stronger (girder gantry??) potentially cheaper then steel, potentially less limitations/cheaper

I'm only in the beginning phase of researching this, only going of what I've heard, so there is probably some glaring mistakes, but I'm interest to know peoples thoughts
