New Shed - Termite Protection with AS3360.1
Hi Guys, Long time reader first time poster here, i've renovated a couple of houses with massive help from the forums but this time i'm stumped.
I've got my permit back for a new shed, that I will be laying the slab (concreter mates) and erecting myself.
It's 15x7.5x2.7, however when i've received the permit, it states that I must provide termite protection in accordance with AS 3360.1 "Termite management - new building work"
My question is, what would be the recommended method be, to pass the building inspection?
Didn't really factor a cost for this in, and hoping to get away with it pretty cheap. the shed is 100% steal
I've read up on s/s mesh membrane, spraying the ground before the slab goes down (expensive??) and a couple of other methods, but considering there is nothing in the shed tasty to the termites, its a little annoying, but understand the need for it.
the slab with integrated footings will be going down first. posts will be dynabolted into the footing
just wondering if anyone else has hit this hurdle with AS3360.1 before and what they did to get it passed by the building inspector.
Thanks
Jason
