Hi All ... this project is a little way off (I tend to ponder things way in advance of getting to them).

I'm considering replacing the inward swinging door on my potting shed with an externally mounted sliding barn door, it'll save space inside the shed. If you've ever looked at barn door hardware you'll know it's horrendously expensive ... especially if it only for as shed door. One of the best concepts I've come across is the use of skateboard wheels with a groove to accept a rail (as depicted below). The question is ... does anyone have a clever way to add such a neat groove to the rubber wheel without special tools?

Cheers.
