I am going to change my excisting timber awning windows to double glazed myself but for the life of me can't find anyone that sells the spacer bars with the desicant inside to the general public. Can anyone help?
I plan to use 3mm acylic sheet for the inside pane and drill two 3mm holes at the top and fill the gap (12mm) with argon gas, gas goes in one hole and when full comes out the other hole that can be carefully filled with clear silicone. Silicone will also be used to create a airtight seal around the spacer bar. Even if the gas leaks it can be refilled in 5-10 years. All I need is the 12mm spacer bars or else i can try and make my own.
