Door seal problems.
OK, so we're in a rural rental and we have a mouse problem.
Our pantry door has a 10-15mm gap on the bottom so to keep the li'l beggars out I fitted a rubber weather seal, rated for the largest gap I could get at our local hw.
Unfortunately, the floor is uneven and when the door is opened the gap at the handle side of the door closes up to about 5mm.
This is a problem as when we go to close the door again the rubber 'digs in,' lifting the door slightly until the door is moved past it, whereupon the door drops back to normal.
This has the effect of popping out the doors' lower hinge screws; I've plugged/rescrewed a couple of times, but that's a pointless task.
The only 'instant' option I see is to adjust the rubber upwards to suit the gap when opened, which leaves a 1cm gap when the door is closed and rather defeats the whole purpose of installing it in the first place.
I've thought about installing a bristle type seal instead but I suspect they'd be ineffective agains the li'l varmints.
So, now I'm considering slotting the screw holes for the mounting plate of the rubber one so it'll move up/down with the pressure from the rubber moving over the floor...
...which brings me to the purpose of this post. Does anyone know of a commercial door seal which can already do that?
(After all, why re-invent the horse & cart? Sadly I've had no luck googling.
)

Have you looked at the seals that have a stop on the door jamb that push them down into the closed position, and lift as the door opens?

If your current arrangement is such that it works when the door is closed but is no good due to the floor level, you might consider adjusting things so that it works unimpeded with the door open. Okay, I guess that will mean there will be no seal when the door is closed. Short of lifting the floor (joking) you could stick some aluminium strips (or similar) on the floor under the door at the location when the door is closed.
Okay, it’s an untidy solution, but your issue is keeping the mice out and that might help.
PS. I had a mouse problem in a unit I'm renting. I fitted a seal like the one Droog suggested. I assume it helped because the tenant hasn't complained. Perhaps he just hasn't complained.

If it doesn't work, I'll probably try Errol's suggestion of setting it with the door open and fixing a suitable spacer across the floor of the doorway. A little hand-plane work never hurt anybody... much.
