    Unhappy installing aluminium windows

I'm about to install some A&L aluminium windows into a weathertex weatherboard house and am wondering about the rubber (plastic) flashings at the bottom. There are two, one, at the front, kind of like a fridge/car door seal and the other behind it a longer flap of rubber . Does anyone know, do these both go in front of the cladding, or does the cladding go between the flashings?

depends on the space between - the front one always goes in front of the cladding, but the back one - if it is 20mm back from the front of the frame and comes from underneath the frame and reveal, goes in front of the sarking but behind the weatherboard - ie its to drain water that somehow got into the frame as opposed to water running down as you'd expect.

    hope thats clear???

The rubbers are there for a brick sill.
The stiff one that hangs down is so that there is an expansion gap at the bottom of the window frame to allow for movement.
The second rubber is to seal against the elements.
