Hello all,

I am looking at building a kids wardrobe from mdf. The overall dimensions are 1600wide x 2800high x 530deep. The reason for it being so high is that i want to go up to the ceiling to maximise space usage. The main part of the wardrobe will be 2000 high so the other 800 above this is for storage.

So, my question is this... I want the main part of the wardrobe to have two doors that are 2000 x 800 each made from mdf. Am I going to have a problem with doors this size (due to weight)? I was thinking of using 18mm mdf for the carcass and 12mm mdf for the doors to reduce weight. Would they warp being this size and this thickness?

Thanks in advance.

Richard.
