Have enjoyed reading up on info on these forums, a terrific resource. Time for my 1st post.
I have a house with approx 12 awning windows 900W x 2100H.
The home is a mid 70's B/Veneer with a hardiplank clad upstairs extension that was given the "Hacienda" look with arches all over the place.
In particular these awning windows are all arched at the top.
As a part of our reno we are trying to get rid of all of the arches (inside was relatively easy but the brick archways out front are a bit more of a challenge!?).
I am wondering if it's posssible & indeed economically viable to have just the awning component of the windows replaced with the more common rectangular type.
Wonder if anybody has any experience or suggestions in this regard.
Also any recommendations as to whom might be able to carry out such work in the Frankston area.
Thanks in advance for any input.
