Is a solid core door really solid?
I am replacing an exterior door sized 2040 x 680 x 35. Just bought a Hume Duracote STPC door 2040 x 815 x 35 and described as solid core in Bunnies catalogue. The wooden edges on both vertical sides are 35mm square. I will need to reduce the width by 135mm.Can anyone tell me what I will find as an edge if I take 135mm off the width? Is it better to take it all off one side? Or 67mm off each side? mick
