Transom (fanlight) hinge
Hello.
Looking at installing the transoms that I have made. What sort of hinges? I have 11 to install, and they are just basic glass and painted timber.
Not looking for anything fancy, not you beaut openers etc, just a stay and a hinge.
I want them to open at the bottom.
Any ideas.?
Thanks in advance.

The fanlights in the Victorian home I used to have pivoted in the middle. I guess it depends a bit on your moulding profiles and if they will be within in easy reach. I imagine normal butt hinges would work or you could use some like the Whitco awning/hopper window casement stays.
