I am new to this forum and we are not experienced renovators and our tool shed is small.
I would like to ask you about timber shutters for windows as it is awfully cold. The type with tongue and grove which are held together with battens at the back.

Is this a sensible project if you haven't got a router and a table saw?
We could cut the timber to length with a hand saw, but at the end we must cut the tongue away neatly over the whole length. and in the middle where both shutter come together, you need an overlap.

If we use straight timber without tongue and groove, it would be much easier to realize but then there will be gaps where the wind goes through and it's cold here.

Who did a similar project?
