Fire separation wall in semi
Just wondering if anyone has any experience dealing with fire separation walls in semi detached houses. If I am doing an attic conversion in a semi would I be required to comply with the BCA and have a 60/60/60 fire separation wall between both properties or would the council typically only enforce this for new construction?

I'm not sure how I could comply with this without replacing the whole roof as the ridge beam is shared between both properties so the rafters would penetrate any firewall constructed, hmmm
Any thoughts?
