Hi,

This is a pretty basic question which I'm hoping to get some advice on, as I'm a bit of a newbie.

i am installing some shelves in my garage. I'm planning to use some steel uprights, with some brackets and use MDF boards (1.8m long and 45cm deep) sitting on these brackets.

My question is: what sort of fixing should I use to secure the uprights to the wall? It's a brick wall, and on the shelves I'll just store some household items (eg tubs of clothing, some camping gear etc).

I've been recommended Dynabolts, but I'm a bit reluctant as I'd like to avoid such permanent fixings (are they overkill?). Would wall plugs (eg the orange Ramplug nylon plugs that Bunnings sells) be sufficient? If so, any recommendations as to what size/length?

Thanks for any advice.
