There is a home treatment to make woolen clothing and blankets fireproof but I have lost the book,
Yes we moved house and the only stuff you lose is the good stuff.

I have these blankets I bought at the Salvos and they are to go in the car for emergency bushfire use, any treatment they had at manufacture has well and truly washed out by now.

If we have any foil left over i will probably make up some reflective capes as well
