Woodworkers but not ones you want - termites
Had to repair this termite damage last week at a client's house. Fortunately a partition wall not connected to the roof (roof trusses, and yummy untreated pine ones). They loved the Oregon beam. Good reminder to get a yearly pest inspection and fix water leaks in the house.

Actually couldn't tell you Jack, last year we renewed our barrier and it was several years before that that I had a check. I do it myself some years, tapping all the trims listen to walls with a stethoscope and climb in the ceiling. I don't recommend do it yourself, get a professional.

We get yearly pest inspection and a standard ants/spiders/cockroaches treatment I think it was $260 all in last time. It depends on the size of your house (we are 4bed +shed).

lucky they found plenty to eat in that partition wall as they would have been into those pine roof trusses.
