    Default 2cnd decoupage box

I followed some of the advice about my first effort - mainly using thinner material and trying to reduce the bulky appearance. I think I made a mistake in rounding the corners of the dovetailed edges. Probably won't do that again, I think it exposed too much end grain material which was harder to finish smoothly. The magnet keeper on the lid which is secured by two small screws was to cover up the ugly hole I gouged when I removed the magnet that I had set in there with the wrong polarity. Maybe box 3 will get closer to my target, or maybe box 99.

Oh thanks. I didn't think they were that common. I've noticed them on a few of the US web sites I've been trolling to save a few $$ on other things, but have never noticed them here. Gee they are nice little hinges for the right purpose.

That box is a work of art. I like the rounded over dovetails.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Nice box. I haven't tried the barrel hinge yet. Mabe on one of my next boxes. I like the decoupage.

A very nice box, I am not sure about the rounded corners , a matter of taste I suppose
