    Default 2nd Jewellery Box

This is the second jewellery box I made. This time it was for my daughter.

Similar to the first, but without the dovetailed top and bottom. It was the leftover material from the Huon Box Kit and the rest of the red cedar I bought. I used normal hinges this time and a brass chain to hold the lid open, along with a different catch on the front. It was finished using Organoil, brushed on, left to dry, then another coat and just lightly buffed after that.

TTIT, yes I realise the chain was a bit bulky, but it was the finest one I could find given my timeframe to finish the box in time for my daughters birthday. Any good places to purchase finer chains and other hardware for boxes?
