Default acrylic jig for Brusso hinges

Messing about with some acrylic and came up with this jig for a Brusso hinge. Guess I'm too cheap to buy the available jigs. This one works with a 7/16" guide bushing and I carpet taped the jig to the box after clamping the lid in place. Worked pretty well.

    Thumbs up

    Nifty!!

When we had our kitchen isnstalled I watched the assistant measure up all the handle positions one by one.

Unfortunately I have only one eye and paralex error is a really big problem for me. The more jigs and guides, the better.

    BTW - Nice box!

First, a great box. I am going to steal the idea with those hinges.
That jig looks nice and simple. I like the way you have done the hinges, looks very professional. Do you have a stay in the box to limit the opening angle?
I remember seeing somewhere the details where you can have the inner tray connected with side stays so when the box is opened to about 100 degrees the tray raises out of the box horizontaly. It gave sufficient room to access under the inner tray and limited the angle the lid opened. Maybe I need to get out the fishing tackle box and go from there.
As usual, I have forgotten where I saw that article.........

Thanks, guys. Ruddy - the nice thing about those Brusso hinges is that they have a built-in stop at 100 degrees. Can't get much more simple than that.
