Anniversary boxes
After over 10 years in the woodworking wilderness (divorce, overseas postings etc) it's good to be back in the workshop. My parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year, so I thought I would exercise my rusty skills on a matching pair of jewellery boxes. Contrasting silky oak and jarrah sides and New Guinea rosewood lids. The silky oak legs are from the carcase of a 1940s wardrobe and the jarrah is from old fence posts.

Very nice pair. Haven't lost many of those skills in your downtime.
