    Default Black Walnut box

Another black walnut box for a friend's birthday. I'm always looking for timber with blemishes because I like to incorporate the blemishes into the finished piece. As soon as I saw the wormhole appear as I was planing the wood, I knew it would be the box front.

Hand cut dovetails, suede lining, Gaboon ebony lift, Brusso hinges, and an oil and wax finish. Box measures 317 x 171 x 95.

Yes, they are my first port of call as well.
Mal is retiring in the near future but Greg will still run the timber side.
I am a regular with the Hastings Woodworkers Guild and we meet at the Wauchope Men's Shed now.
If you are ever down on a Friday, let me know and I'll take you over.
    Cheers

The hand cut dovetails look great. A very nice box that will be a keepsake.
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.
